I’m Thomas Heiser and I’ve been using events as a tool for marketing and engagement for more than 16 years; from experiential events to industry-leading exhibitions with 60,000 visitors.

For the last four year’s I’ve been working as a freelance event manager.

Whether you measure results in delegate numbers, sponsor income or social engagement, I deliver tangible return on investment.

My clients share a common goal;
to create valuable, lasting connections.

With events there is no second chance to get things right so choosing to use a freelance event manager can be daunting. My clients like what I do and use me year on year – the proof is in the pudding as they say.

Looking for a freelance event manager?

Freelance event mangers offer a number of benefits over the alternative options of running an event yourself (labour intensive) and hiring an agency (expensive!). Benefits of working with Focal Point include:

Freelance event managers are a lot more cost effective than using an agency. I have minimal overheads and am flexible with my pricing. I take on exactly the work you need to be done, and nothing more. Why pay for a team when you might only need one person? Shouldn’t your budget be spent on deliverables rather than agency overheads?
You only have one chance to get things right on the day, so why learn the hard way? With over a decade of experience, running events is second nature – ensuring I get things right first time.
All to often important points are lost in translation between an account manager and the person actually doing the work. With Focal Point you speak directly to the person working for you – me. I can even come and work from your office if that is easier.
Events require a lot of work, but not necessarily all at once. My support can be tailored to increase as a project gets closer, reacting to the actual needs of the job.
Health and Safety considerations are crucial, but needn’t limit your event. As an IOSH certified event manager I ensure your event is managed creatively but safely, allowing you to concentrate on other things.
Organisations run events for a reason – something I never loose sight of. I am trusted to generate tangible return on investment, whether you measure that in delegate numbers, sponsor income or social engagement.
